In this sermon, Lex Loizides unfolds the challenging truths of Romans 9, illuminating God’s sovereign grace and the formation of His people beyond ethnic lines. He carefully navigates the hard truths about God’s election, inviting us to embrace our role as the clay in the potter’s hands and to marvel at our inclusion in God’s family. We learn that our assurance rests not on our choice but on God’s merciful call, which predates our existence and beckons us to faith. This sermon beckons us to rest in the profound mystery of God’s sovereign choice and the beautiful inclusion of all who believe in Jesus, prompting us to look beyond our understanding and lean into the depth of God’s love and purpose for us and the world.

In this sermon, Wesley Fredericks reminds us how unique Jesus is—unlike remembering the dead from long ago, billions still worship Jesus today. Using John’s Gospel, he explains that Jesus willingly became our substitute, taking our punishment to restore our relationship with God. Like a king leading by serving, Jesus embodies truth, love, and ultimate sacrifice. This challenges us to either, ignore Him, be indifferent, or respond with worship. It's a call to see His love, our chance to return to God and be transformed by His grace.

About Us
We are a church made up of people from all kinds of different backgrounds, races, nations and ages who have discovered and accepted the transforming grace and kindness of Jesus Christ. His love and leadership is the reason and foundation of our church life together. Whether you’re a visitor or a member, we’d love you to connect with what we are doing as a local church and discover a rich variety of ways that you can join in with all that God is doing amongst us. We trust that content on this website will stir you to ask God for ways in which you can make a difference for him wherever you live.
Jubilee is a Christian church centred on the Bible and working out our faith in the context of community. We meet together on Sundays and in small mid-week meetings in homes around the city. Our desire is to strengthen both individuals and Cape Town as a whole and to build reconciliation, especially where we have, in the past, been divided. We aim to create the context for relationships across age, race and socio-economic boundaries.
