In this sermon, Matt Clothier challenges us to examine our hearts and ask, “Who do I say Jesus is?” He explores how Jesus, tested and triumphant, reveals Himself as the Son of God and our Saviour —mirroring when Peter recognized Him as “the Christ, the son of the living God” (Matt 16:16). Matt urges us to digest this truth as our core, to live, learn, and lean into Jesus. Like seeds needing water, our souls thirst for this truth.

In this sermon, Terry Virgo dives into the heart of what church means - a global family united by faith and local communities where faith grows. Like a tree rooted in rich soil, we're called to plant ourselves in the universal and local expressions of the church, drawing nutrients from Christ’s love and grace. He reminds us that real change starts with transformed hearts, echoing through society. Like rivers flowing into the ocean, our individual stories merge into the bigger narrative of God’s kingdom, where we’re strangers bound by heavenly citizenship. Virgo urges us to embrace grace, become joyful worshippers in spirit, and be secure in the truth that we are right with God not by our deeds but by Jesus’ sacrifice. This message is a call to anchor our lives in the gospel, transforming us from the inside out and encouraging us to lean more into God’s Word to navigate the journey of faith together.

In this sermon, Lex Loizides paints a vivid picture: life’s storms may surprise us, but Jesus calms the raging seas. Like a skilled navigator, He guides us through external turmoil and inner storms of doubt and fear. Just as He calmed the Sea of Galilee, Jesus speaks peace into our chaos (Mark 4:35-41). He invites us into a journey of faith where obedience, even in the storm, leads to deeper trust. Lex encourages leaning into God’s word, reminding us that our ship is unsinkable in Christ. We’re bound for heaven’s shores, where ultimate peace and joy await. This sermon stirs hearts to trust in Jesus’ power and presence in life's storms and assures us of His loving guidance to the safe harbour of His kingdom.

About Us
We are a church made up of people from all kinds of different backgrounds, races, nations and ages who have discovered and accepted the transforming grace and kindness of Jesus Christ. His love and leadership is the reason and foundation of our church life together. Whether you’re a visitor or a member, we’d love you to connect with what we are doing as a local church and discover a rich variety of ways that you can join in with all that God is doing amongst us. We trust that content on this website will stir you to ask God for ways in which you can make a difference for him wherever you live.
Jubilee is a Christian church centred on the Bible and working out our faith in the context of community. We meet together on Sundays and in small mid-week meetings in homes around the city. Our desire is to strengthen both individuals and Cape Town as a whole and to build reconciliation, especially where we have, in the past, been divided. We aim to create the context for relationships across age, race and socio-economic boundaries.
